R G Jones: R.G Jones work is an exploration into art as ritual and an act of magic. The creation of the work is transposing the internal world onto external canvas, in that each idea comes to the artist already completed in the minds eye. Producing each piece is a process which starts as and is thought of as emblematic of data; the data being a thought, a memory or an emotion. The next part of the process is to loose oneself in the act of doing and handing over the painting to intuition, play and experimentation.
